More About Soo Hoo
As the Founding President of the Malaysian Association of Professional Trainers and Coaches (MAPTaC), Soo Hoo is a trainer through and through since 2007 in the area of Sales, Leadership and Entrepreneurship. In recognition of his achievements and contributions, he was awarded the prestigious Global Training & Development Leadership Award by the World HRD Congress in their Silver Jubilee Celebration (2017), Distinguished Trainer (2017), Hall of Fame (2018) in Asia’s Training & Development Excellence Award and as SME Icon by Malaysian Service Provider Confederation (2018), Best Sales Trainer in Malaysia Golden Globe Tigers Award (2019) and Malaysia’s 100 Most Influential LinkedIn Icon (2019 & 2020)
His experiences and love for people development has made him realized that the world is not without compassion. Soo Hoo currently serves as a Nexus Governing Committee Member for Malaysia Productivity Corporation, Director of Asia Pacific for Global Trainers Federation and for Experiential Learning Institute as well as a panel assessor to assess and evaluate the new TTT Lead Trainers for HRD Corp.
He began young with a high-flying career in banking sales; servicing high net worth individuals at an international bank and during his time there he was mentored by some of his clients where he learned business and life skills.
From the shared experiences and mentoring he learnt, he decided to launch his own consulting business, managing corporate clients, and assisting individuals to grow their businesses. Amongst his memorable moments was helping grow the profits of a company from RM 200, 000/- to over RM 1, 000, 000/- within 3 years. He also helping a client (KSKW Cambodia Ltd) to acquire and design a USD2Billion integrated development project in back in 2007.
Soo Hoo has designed a methodology called Subliminal Persuasion which combines the best of Neuro Science Technologies including Hypnosis, NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), & Body Language to influence the decision making process by building deep trust and rapport. He also developed and refined several consulting and coaching frameworks including DIALS for trainer development, WTF for Life Coaching, Trinity For Sales Development among others.
